103.9 WVBO welcomes the return of the school year by recognizing inspiring teachers!

We invite you to use the form below to submit your nomination of an educator who is inspiring to the children they teach.   103.9 WVBO and Half Price Books will randomly select five winning teachers and provide their school a $50 Half Price Books certificate for the benefit of their school library. In addition WVBO will deliver two dozen Manderfield’s Bakery donuts on each Tuesday morning in October to the week’s winner!

* Danielle Lokken, Math & Language Arts teacher at Iola-Scandinavia Middle School –   Danielle is a third generation teacher, following in the footsteps of her mother and maternal grandmother, who taught in a one room school house. Danielle values the importance of a quality education for all students. This inspires her to create meaningful lessons, based on curriculum, that help students learn. Danielle also differentiates her instruction so as to meet the individual needs of her students. Outside of the classroom, Danielle stays connected with her students by attending their sporting events and extra curricular activities. Danielle is an awesome teacher. Mrs. Hanson (St. John- Sacred Heart School, Sherwood,WI) does a phenomenal job finding the exact learning path for each student to be a successful reader. She is always willing to go the extra mile and then some! She works hard at finding multisensory activities to correlate to her lessons. Learning is fun not a chore in her room! Miss Voigt (Fort Howard Elementary School) is by far the best teacher I have ever met. She’s hardworking, helpful, and will do anything for not only her students but every student in the school. I nominate Mrs.Brooks at Omro High School.  (She) is so inspiring in and out of her classroom. she always has a smile on her face and always willing to help when needed. Mrs. Erdmann (at Woodland Elementary) is inspiring to her students because she is funny and positive. She sets an excellent example for every student at Woodland Elementary. Lizz Lawson (Children of America, Appleton) is an amazing person. She deals with so much and asks for so little. I get so many great ideas from her. Mrs. Alsum (Brandon Elementary School) is a true leader within the school, the community, and her church. With a smile on her face, she puts in many, many extra hours planning for each individual student to make them the best they can be. Often using her own funds to provide for the students, her classroom is full of excitement and tremendous progress in learning with innovative assignments and ideas. Ms. Heimke (Brillion Elementary Special Education) She treats each and every one of her kids with respect and love. She always looks for their individual ability never their disability. Takes what each child likes and has the expertise to turn it into a learning experience which, makes learning so much more fun. She always has a listening ear and a hug when needed. Ms Klemp (Trinity Lutheran, Neenah) JoAnne has been teaching for 40yrs and telling the children about Jesus their Savior besides the normal classes. She’s a very compassionate teacher whose main concern is her students. She has taught many students about the stories of Jesus which is needed in our lives among the other courses.
