1965 - Jimmy Page released his first solo single, “She Just Satisfies,” though it failed to make an impact on the charts. The guitarist then switched course and moved on to join The Yardbirds.

 

1966 - The Rolling Stones released “19th Nervous Breakdown.” The song peaked at No. 2 on US charts and became the group’s ninth hit single.

 

1977 - Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours enterted the UK Album charts.

 

1985 - Tina Turner scored Grammy wins for “What’s Love Got to Do with It” and “Better Be Good to Me.”

 

1995 - Robert Plant and Jimmy Page embarked on a year-long world tour in support of their live reunion album, No Quarter, with a gig in Pensacola, Florida.

 

1997 - The Beatles dominated the Grammys, winning Best Music Video, Short Form, and Best Pop Performance by a Duo Or Group With Vocal for their song, “Free As A Bird.” The Fab Four also picked up Best Music Video, Long Form, for their The Beatles Anthology.

 

2001 - A stalker of Axl Rose was charged with violating her probation after she visited Rose’s Malibu, California home.
