The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
A good soaking rain with some strong thunderstorms moved through yesterday into early this morning. The remaining light rain is set to clear out along the Lake Michigan shoreline early this morning, but the wildfire smoke from the last few days will not.
Canadian Wildfire smoke, which was aloft in the atmosphere the last few days, has now mixed down to the surface as can bring breathing concerns. Kids, older adults, and anyone with asthma or heart disease is asked to consider staying inside or limiting time outdoors. An AIR QUALITY ALERT has been issued until noon Thursday across the state of Wisconsin.
A few afternoon clouds Wednesday. It will be less humid with a high of 77 degrees.
Tonight, mainly clear and a low of 54 degrees.
Tomorrow starts out with smoky sunshine with puffy afternoon clouds. The high goes up to 80 degrees.
Friday, partly sunny and 75 degrees. In the afternoon and evening, hit or miss showers or weak thunderstorms could form over some of the area, especially north/west of the Fox Valley.
Mostly sunny and 75 degrees on Saturday. There is an unlikely chance for a pop-up shower across central Wisconsin.
A good chance for rain and thunderstorms area-wide will be on Sunday with a cold front. The high tops out in the low 70s.
