The Latest from Storm Team 5…
For those heading out today getting their 4th of July weekend started early, it has been a great day with highs in the 80s and mostly sunny skies.
For tonight, I’m expecting fair skies and temperatures in the low to mid 60s. A boundary lifting north as a warm front may spark a chance for a shower or storm around daybreak.
That warm front lifting through the state will bring a chance for a isolated shower or storm tomorrow morning to around mid day, but skies should fairly sunny for any afternoon and evening festivities on the 4th. Plan on a hot and humid day with highs in the upper 80s to around 90, with sweltering dew points in the 70s making it feel like the low to mid 90s away from the lake.
Fireworks displays after dusk tomorrow should go on as planned and it will be a warm night with temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s around 8-10pm.
Saturday will start dry, but a cold front moving in will bring a chance for showers and storms for the evening and overnight hours. High temperatures will return to the upper 80s and low 90s, with another day of sticky dew points in the 70s.
A few showers and storms will linger for Sunday morning, but we are looking drier for the afternoon. High temperatures will drop into the upper 70s and low 80s!
