ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – After a slow start to the ‘second-half’ of the regular season, the Rockers are back to their winning ways, rumbling off three wins in the last four days.
On Monday night, Green Bay took care of business in a 2-1 win over the Fond Du Lac Dock Spiders at Capital Credit Union Park. Not a lot of offense in this one, but some terrific defense, especially from Dock Spiders OF Parker Knoll, when he robbed Stefan Di Corrado of an extra base hit. Easily the catch-of-the-day.
Knoll will play baseball next year for the University of Minnesota, after beginning his college career at Lawrence University. The Dock Spiders outfielder, originally from Appleton, is one of several local players on Fond Du Lac’s roster this year — Colton Angell (Oshkosh), Jalen Gellings (Fond Du Lac), and Brennen Grams (Kaukauna).
