GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Community members around Green Bay gathered for a rally at the CityDeck with a walk to the We Will Still Be Seen: Pop-Up Pride block party on Saturday afternoon.
The event came weeks after the NEW Pride Fest was postponed due to concerns over recent politically charged violence, citing a need for safety and unity during the uncertain times.

Representative Amaad Rivera-Wagner (D-Green Bay) was in attendance and said that the threats, which led to the cancellation of NEW Pride Fest, pushed him and a group of friends to hold this event.
“In this climate, trying to divide us, often through fear and intimidation, we wanted to bring our community together and celebrate each other,” Rep. Rivera-Wagner said. “Despite the threats, we’re going to build a city, state and country where everyone can thrive.”
The event kicked off with speakers from the LGBTQIA+ community, before the walk led attendees to the block party outside The Tarlton Theatre. The block party featured live music, community resources and food/drink options.

The event also featured free drag performances in The Tarlton Theater, with live music and poetry included. All proceeds went to support the Green Bay Pride Fest, set for June 13-14, 2026.
