(WFRV) – The government shutdown could affect some SNAP participants in Wisconsin via an incorrect balance showing on their accounts.
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin posted on its Facebook page that some FoodShare (SNAP) participants could see an incorrect balance on their accounts. The group said they are not sure how many people will be affected.
It was also mentioned that there is currently no indication that benefits will be canceled. Officials say that starting on October 17 some may see an incorrect balance in their accounts.
