WOODVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 22-year-old man in Calumet County had his cash bond set at $1,000,000 days after allegedly shooting and killing his own father.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by Local 5, 22-year-old Ethan Graverson was charged with intentional homicide following a shooting on November 21. Authorities got a call from a person who claimed that his father was going crazy and he had to shoot him.
When authorities got to the residence, they saw Ethan outside and placed him in handcuffs. Ethan reportedly said he had shot his father multiple times.
A witness told authorities at the scene that Ethan and his father got along.
Investigators interviewed Ethan, and he said he got home from work and argued with his father, according to the complaint.
Ethan reportedly said he came to the realization that his dad was a ‘monster’. When investigators asked him if he anticipated the shooting happening, Ethan said ‘kinda’, according to the complaint.
He also shook his head yes when asked if there were other days he thought he might kill his dad, the complaint said.

The witness later told authorities there was never any physical abuse in Ethan’s childhood.
Ethan is charged with:
- First degree intentional homicide, domestic abuse
- Felony
- Up to life in prison
Ethan was in court on November 24 for his initial appearance. His cash bond was set at $1,000,000.
His next court date is January 5 at 4 p.m.
