WAUPACA, Wis. (WFRV) – Waupaca officials announced that the Yuletide Parade, initially set for Thursday, will no longer go on due to cold weather in the forecast.

According to a release, the decision was made out of concern for safety and comfort for the community.
While Waupaca’s Yuletide Parade is canceled, a few events still remain on the schedule for the holiday season.

The community tree lighting is still set for Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Danes Hall Plaza, with late-night shopping and a movie night showing of Elf.
