MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 24-year-old Menasha student teacher was convicted of fourth-degree sexual assault on a no-contest plea, with probation ordered and a deferred sentence.

Court records show Cameron Mueller was in court on January 20 for his plea/sentencing hearing, where he pleaded no contest to charges of sexual misconduct by school staff and fourth-degree sexual assault.
The first charge, fourth-degree sexual assault, resulted in a deferred 18-month county jail sentence, which will not be served unless Mueller were to violate terms of probation, which lasts 12 months.

The probation includes that he shall maintain or find a job or be in school, while also paying all court fees within 60 days. In addition, he must go through several evaluations and programs.
Any violations will result in an 18-month jail sentence, but following through with probation would result in his criminal record being expunged, if petitioned to the court.
