The DHS and Waukesha County Health and Human Services are working to identify those who may have been exposed to the measles virus through this case. No public exposure locations have been identified at this time.
The DHS is encouraging everyone throughout Wisconsin to check their vaccination status to ensure they are protected against measles, as cases of measles are appearing to continue both nationally and internationally.
Anyone planning a winter vacation or trip should look into the measles activity at that location and be sure everyone they travel with are up to date on the needed vaccines.
