Officials state the project is needed as the west side facility is one of the busiest in the state and the proposed additions will help to serve the community better.
We have about 8,000 membership units, and we serve about 24,000 community members. Being the only one on the west side, it was the only decision on how we could continue to serve more and impact our community.

The expansion is said to be a $9.4 million project, with officials planning to break ground on the project starting on April 1.
