BAILEYS HARBOR, Wis. (WFRV) — Authorities in Door County have confirmed that a utility emergency that shut down all lanes of State Highway 57 has been resolved.
All lanes of the highway, from County Highway F in Baileys Harbor to County Highway E, have reopened to traffic. Officials have not released details on the exact nature of the utility issue.
The closure lasted approximately five hours while crews worked to resolve the situation.
Utility emergency closes all lanes of WIS 57 in Baileys Harbor

BAILEYS HARBOR, Wis. (WFRV) – In an update, WisDOT officials say all lanes of WIS 57 remain closed at this time due still to the reported utility emergency.
All lanes of WIS 57 are said to be closed from County Highway F in Baileys Harbor to County Highway E, and the following alternate route is suggested for drivers in the area:
- Northbound traffic:
- Exit at County Highway E, head west on County Highway E to County Highway A, north on County Highway A to County Highway EE, east on County Highway EE to County Highway F, County Highway F back to WIS 77
- Southbound traffic:
- The reverse from above
The Door County Sheriff’s Office remains on scene with the estimated length of the closure expected to be at least two hours.

BAILEYS HARBOR, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation say all lanes of WIS 57 in Baileys Harbor are closed due to a utility emergency.
According to a release from WisDOT, a utility emergency occurred at 11:07 a.m. at County Highway F, leaving all the lanes in both directions of WIS 57 closed.

All the lanes of WIS 57 are said to be closed from County Highway F to County Highway E, with the closure expected to last for at least two hours.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office is currently on the scene. No other information is available at this time.
