DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – A fire at a storage facility on the St. Norbert College campus caused an estimated $250,000 in damage on Wednesday evening.
According to the De Pe Pere Fire Rescue Department, officials responded to the reported fire just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday at 450 Third Street, locating a 30×50 maintenance storage building on campus with a fire from the roof.
Crews extinguished the fire inside, and officials were on the scene for about two hours. Nobody was inside the building when crews entered, and no injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation, and officials say they used about 2,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire and smoke, which caused an estimated $250,000 in damage.
