MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) — A 57-year-old Menasha man was sentenced to seven and a half years in federal prison after authorities found thousands of images and videos of child sexual abuse material downloaded from the internet.
In April 2025, law enforcement obtained a warrant to search the home and electronic devices of Todd E. Grimm. During the search, investigators discovered a flash drive hidden in an envelope behind a desk drawer that contained more than 12,500 images and videos depicting child sexual abuse.

Authorities also said the flash drive included written “stories” authored by Grimm that described the drugging and sexual assault of young children.
At sentencing, U.S. District Judge William Griesbach cited the seriousness of the offenses, the lasting harm to victims and the need for just punishment. In addition to the prison sentence, Grimm was ordered to serve 15 years of supervised release following his incarceration and must register as a sex offender under both state and federal law.

“Child pornography monetizes children being sexually abused and robbed of their innocence,” U.S. Attorney Brad Schimel said in a statement. “The worldwide multi-billion-dollar child pornography industry is directly supported by people like this defendant who perpetuate sexual violence against children every time they seek out, view or share these materials.”
The case was investigated by the Menasha Police Department.
