MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Milwaukee say the Deer District will be hosting a brand new farmers’ market for the 2026 summer season.
The new farmers’ market, managed by the Lauryn Wynter Company, supported by the Deer District BID 53, will be opening every Sunday from June 7 through October 25 and will feature over 100 vendors each week.
In addition to farmers and other food producers offering fresh and organic meats, eggs, fruits, vegetables, and cheeses, there will also be bakery items, arts and crafts, and live entertainment featured at the market.
Officials say market goers can expect a premier shopping experience with free live music, comfortable seating, and a variety of farm-fresh and ready-to-eat foods.

A ‘Taste It Tent’ will be set up, offering weekly samples of new foods available at the market that week, and a kids’ area with family-friendly activities and games will be set up. Deer District tenants and nearby restaurants and bars are also expected to be open alongside the farmers’ market for brunch or lunch.
Each week, the new Deer District Farmers’ Market will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the exception of select dates due to previously scheduled events. Officials note that SNAP/EBT, WIC, and Senior Nutritional Vouchers will be accepted at the market.
