SHAWANO, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials have identified the victim of a fatal fire that killed one person and left another hospitalized in Shawano in late January.
According to the Shawano Police Department, the victim was identified as 69-year-old Nancy Mross, with preliminary autopsy results indicating she died of smoke and fume inhalation.

The 66-year-old man who was evacuated was hospitalized in Shawano, but his condition was not provided.
Officials say the investigation into the fire, which was reported around 2:30 a.m. in the 600 block of South Union Street on January 27, is still ongoing. Investigators say the incident is isolated.
