Update: The roadway has been reopened
RUSHFORD, Wis. (WFRV) – A 32-year-old and an 83-year-old were pronounced dead at the scene of a head-on crash on WIS 21 in Winnebago County on Thursday morning.
According to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were called to State Highway 21 near County Highway K in Rushford just before 9:50 a.m. on February 5 for reports of a head-on collision.
Authorities say that each vehicle was occupied by a single driver, a 32-year-old man from Berlin and an 83-year-old man from Redgranite. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

State Highway 21 has been closed since the crash occurred and will remain closed for the investigation and scene cleanup for several more hours.
Deputies are asking any witnesses of the crash to call 920-236-7300.
The crash remains under investigation by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
