DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – A west De Pere neighborhood is set to be revitalized later this year on behalf of the Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity’s Rock the Block.

The annual volunteer-driven event is set to run from September 16-18 in De Pere. The event unites volunteers around the area to go into a neighborhood and not just clean up, but revitalize and almost modernize homes.

The neighborhood selected after review was, as CEO Jessica Diederich called it, the ‘Tree Streets.’ Each street in the specific zone (photo to the left) is named for a specific tree.
The neighborhood was selected because it has the highest percentage of low-to-moderate income levels and a large number of occupied homes.
Application requirements for residents in the selected neighborhood are available here.
