MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say three police officers are being treated at the hospital after they were hurt while taking a “suspicious person” into custody Sunday evening.
According to a release from the Madison Police Department, officers responded around 5:40 p.m. to a residence on the 100 block of West Johnson Street for reports of a “suspicious person.”

Upon arrival, police learned that the “suspicious person” was seen throwing items off his balcony that hit a Metro bus and several people passing through the area.
While bringing the responsible individual into custody, three police officers were hurt. Both the injured police officers and the suspect were taken to the hospital for treatment.
No other information is available, and an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
