MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) – The City of Menasha’s Forestry Department recently turned a downed tree stump into what they dubbed ‘The Oak Throne.’
The tree was cut down last year in Smith Park, and staff decided to do something creative with the historic stump, turning it into a throne.
A portion of the stump was cut and used to create a sign for the throne, and after they counted the tree’s rings, they discovered just how old it was.
