OCONTO, Wis. (WFRV) – Over four-and-a-half years since charges were filed from a CodeRED alert manhunt for a 28-year-old Oconto man, he’s been sentenced to a decade in prison.
According to court records, Cody Krueger was sentenced months after he pleaded no contest; however, the initial attempted homicide charge was changed to aggravated battery, a Class E felony.

The incident occurred in September 2021, when Krueger was identified as a suspect in an armed robbery, and officials found him hiding in a wooded area.
The other charges were dismissed but read in at sentencing. Krueger will spend five years on supervised release, as well.
