WRIGHTSTOWN, Wis. (WFRV) – In honor of approaching its 100th anniversary, the Wrightstown Fire Department recently unveiled a brand new mascot and a new blue fire truck.

Officials with the department say the new blue apparatus is the department’s first fully custom, non-commercial chassis cab over truck, which is purpose-built specifically for fire service operations and designed in a way to allow enhanced maneuverability, improved visibility, and operational efficiency.
While red has long been the traditional color amongst fire services throughout the country, the Wrightstown Fire Department says the new blue apparatus was chosen because it reflects the department’s tradition and progress, allowing it to honor the department’s past while also helping it confidently step into the next century.

Officials add that the blue fire truck also represents the department’s commitment to serving and protecting the Village of Wrightstown at the highest level.
In addition to the new blue fire truck, the Wrightstown Fire Department showed a new department mascot to the public. The new mascot is a tiger, which is said to embody the pride, strength, and resilience of the Wrightstown community.
Officials say the tiger also represents courage under pressure, unity in the face of challenge, and the fierce commitment the firefighters in Wrightstown bring to every call for service.
For nearly a century, the Wrightstown Fire Department has stood ready to answer the call. As we celebrate 100 years of service, this new apparatus and the introduction of the Tiger mark the beginning of our next era, built on tradition, driven by innovation, and grounded in community pride.
