APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Anyone in the area of Plamann Park in Appleton on Thursday may have seen some Army Cadets outfitted for a training exercise.

The Fox Valley Battalion Army ROTC Group took part in a leadership field exercise where the cadets were split into two groups to navigate the terrain of Plamann Park while also being prepared to make contact with a potential enemy during the exercise.
The tactical training helps us emphasize the Army Leadership Requirements Model, which has a set of leadership competencies and attributes that we are trying to develop in these students.

The Fox Valley Battalion is said to be comprised of ROTC Cadets from several local universities throughout northeast Wisconsin.
