(WFRV) – Season ticket holders who continuously resell their Packer tickets are being warned that they could lose them.
48 stops, 1 arrest made in second Brown County Seat Belt Task Force deployment
The Green Bay Packers announced they are continuing the organization’s non-renewal exercise. This has happened in recent years to make sure season tickets are ‘being used as intended.’
Invoices are reportedly being mailed to season ticket holders next week. The invoices will outline next season’s pricing and preview the home games, the release said.
The team said season tickets are intended for the holder’s personal enjoyment and for that person, along with their family, friends and business associates, to attend games and support the team.
In the release, it mentions that season ticket holders should make efforts to ensure the tickets will be used by fellow Packer fans.
Those who repeatedly resell their tickets, whether that’s on the secondary market or through ticket brokers, could have their renewal ability impacted without further warning.
Craig Benzel, Packers vice president of sales and business development, provided the following quote.
Our Season Ticket Holders are central to Lambeau Field’s significant homefield advantage and gameday experience. We continue to emphasize the purpose of having season tickets, which is to attend games and contribute to that atmosphere. Simply put: Packers Season Ticket Holders who purchase their tickets with the sole intent of reselling them should not be Packers Season Ticket Holders.
The team said there are over 155,000 fans on the season-ticket waiting list.
