APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – It’s time to get out those old prom, homecoming, bridesmaid, and wedding gowns as the Appleton Parks & Rec Department is inviting women to their ‘Mom Prom’ this weekend.
Officials with the Appleton Parks & Rec Department, Elizabeth Konrath and Margaret Collett, joined Local Five’s Stacy Engebretson on ‘Off the Desk’ to talk about the special event.

They said that while it is called a ‘Mom Prom,’ all women 21 years or older are welcome to attend for a fun night of dancing, drinks, photos, and raffle baskets with even a chance to be named Prom Queen.
The ‘Mom Prom’ will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, at the Hilton Paper Valley Hotel on 333 West College Avenue.
Tickets for the event are $40 per person with the funds going towards the Appleton Parks and Recreation’s fee waiver scholarship program, which helps provide youth in the City of Appleton with financial assistance towards recreation programs like sports leagues, swim lessons, and more.
