MARINETTE, Wis. (WFRV) – The man charged in the death of 24-year-old Gabriella Cartagena is now back in Wisconsin after being arrested in Minnesota.

29-year-old Robert Chilcote is now in custody at the Marinette County Jail after being extradited from Minnesota, where he allegedly fled to after killing his then-girlfriend.
Cartagena had last been seen on February 4, with her body being found on February 10. According to a criminal complaint, Chilcote and Cartagena were in a relationship at the time of her death and aslo worked together with Chilcote going to work after reportedly dragging the 24-year-old woman’s body into the woods.

Officials say Chilcote will remain in custody at the Marinette County Jail as he awaits his inital court appearance scheduled for Thursday.
