APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A vandalized ice sculpture featured on College Avenue in Appleton is unlikely to get back out in time after complications arose as Krystal Kleer Ice Sculptures attempted to fix it.
The ice sculpture was on behalf of the Center for Suicide Awareness in Kaukauna, and it was found damaged just under 24 hours after it was put on display at Appleton’s Avenue of Ice, which featured multiple ice sculptures on College Avenue.

“We made a valiant effort to put the thing back together, but there was too much missing,” Paul Solomon of Krystal Kleer Ice Sculptures said. “We made a wedge and we got to the point where we were ready to start shaping everything, but a piece let go and it’s no longer repairable.”
Due to the weather, other sculptures may begin to fall apart or melt, so even if the sculpture is redone/repaired, it’s likely not to get back out in time.
