MILWAUKEE (AP/WFRV) – Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to return to the court Monday night after missing the Milwaukee Bucks’ last 15 games with a calf strain.
Milwaukee initially listed Antetokounmpo as questionable on its injury report ahead of the matchup with the Boston Celtics. ESPN’s Shams Charania later reported that the two-time MVP is expected to play.

Antetokounmpo has not appeared in a game since straining his right calf Jan. 23 in a loss to the Denver Nuggets. A separate calf injury also sidelined him for three weeks in December. He has missed a career-high 29 games this season, including 23 due to calf strains.
The 31-year-old is averaging 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5.6 assists this season. He earned his 10th consecutive All-Star selection but did not participate because of the injury.
Milwaukee enters the night 11th in the Eastern Conference standings, three games behind 10th-place Charlotte as the Bucks try to climb into the play-in tournament and secure a 10th straight playoff berth.

His expected return comes at a critical time as Milwaukee looks to regain momentum in its postseason push.
