GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The search for the next superintendent of the Green Bay Area Public Schools District is almost over, as the Board of Education announced two finalists for the position on Monday morning.

According to a release, the two finalists are Michael Hernandez, the Appleton Area School District Assistant Superintendent, and Dr. Michael E. Trimberger Jr., the School District of Random Lake Superintendent.
Both finalists will have a “Day in the District” with families, students, staff, and community members invited to a “Meet & Greet.”


The Meet & Greet with Hernandez will take place on Wednesday, March 4, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. inside the old library of West High School at 966 Shawano Avenue. Trimberger Jr.’s Meet & Greet will also be inside the old library at West High School, but will take place from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5.
Those who intend to attend either of or both of the meet & greet events are asked to bring their questions in writing and submit them to the event’s moderator.
