OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – A wholesome sports story out of Oshkosh had an epic finish as the Oshkosh West High School’s Connected basketball team took on Neenah’s Special Olympics team.
The game was during a pep rally with the entire Oshkosh West student body in attendance, and while the game was filled with cheering and action-packed moments, none were bigger than the ending.

With just seconds remaining in a tie game, Neenah’s Zavier Brezezinski launched a half-court heave in hopes of breaking the deadlock—and he did.
But what might’ve been more incredible than that shot was what followed, as Oshkosh West students rushed the court to celebrate the players, even those who beat their team in a unifying and inclusive game.
It’s the second year of the partnership between the schools, and they’ll have yet another event in April with an inclusive prom at Oshkosh West.
