(WFRV) – Police in Wisconsin are investigating reports of shots fired near two schools just after noon on Wednesday.
According to a release from the Janesville Police Department, officers responded to the area of Ravine Street and North Oakhill Avenue, near the St. Williams School and the ABC Nursery School, for reports of a possible shots-fired incident.

Officials say two witnesses told police that they heard one to two loud popping sounds and squealing vehicle tires. The information was relayed to school officials, allowing for precautionary safety protocols to be implemented.
Police searched the area and were unable to find any victims, suspects, or any evidence indicating that a shooting had taken place.
