(WFRV) – On Wednesday morning, a school bus carrying students was blown into a ditch by strong winds, and injuries have been reported.
According to an email sent to parents from the Luxemburg-Casco School District, Bus 26 was halfway through its route when it was hit by a strong wind that pushed it into a ditch. Emergency services and school personnel were immediately notified.
School officials noted that the parents of students who were injured and those who were on the bus have all been notified.

All other students have been transported to the Intermediate School, where they will meet with guidance counselors to process the accident and decompress prior to going to class. If parents/guardians would prefer to pick up their child, please report to the Intermediate School. The safety of our students is our highest priority. The Luxemburg-Casco School District takes any incident involving student transportation very seriously and will work closely with the appropriate authorities to review what occurred and ensure the continued safety of all students.
