APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Appleton say a recent traffic stop quickly turned into a notable safety intervention ending in an Operating While Intoxicated arrest.
According to a release from the Appleton Police Department, an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle during which time the driver was alleged to be showing concerning behavior.

With the concerning behavior and a visible weapon in reach of the driver, officials say the officer removed the driver from her car, eventually detaining her after the woman attempted to re-enter her car during the stop.
A further investigation led police to find alcohol and illegal drugs inside the vehicle. The woman was then arrested for OWI and drug possession.
