According to a Milwaukee Police Department release, officers were called, along with a Department of Corrections agent, to the 1900 block of South 12th Street on Thursday morning for a wanted suspect on a parole violation.

The suspect immediately started and fled at a high speed while the officer hung on to the driver’s side window of the suspect vehicle, which reportedly drove multiple blocks, refusing to stop.
According to the release, the officer on ‘several’ occasions commanded the suspect to stop, or else he would be shot at. The officer reportedly shot the suspect after the suspect’s continued refusal.
