(WFRV) – As the snow continues to fall, several school districts throughout northeast Wisconsin are already reporting cancellations for Monday.
As of 11:00 a.m., Green Bay has already recorded a total of 6.5 inches of snow, with De Pere recording 6.0 inches, Appleton recording 5.0 inches, and Oshkosh recording 4.5 inches.
With heavy snowfall expected to continue overnight into the morning and strong wind gusts expected to pick up, the following schools throughout northeast Wisconsin will be closed or moved to a virtual learning day on Monday:
- Appleton Area School District
- Limited school activities may take place. Students and families involved will be notified by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.
- Ashwaubenon School District
- All after-school activities canceled
- Unified School District of De Pere
- No after-school/evening activities, athletics, or rehearsals.
- Green Bay Area Public School District
- Public and private schools will be closed
- No after-school or evening activities
- Menasha Joint School District
- There will be no before or after-school activities.
- Neenah Joint School District
- Will move to a virtual learning day on 3/16.
- Northeast Wisconsin Technical College
- All locations
- Oshkosh Area School District
- OASD middle and high schools will have a Digital Learning Day
- OASD elementary schools and Oshkosh Early Learning closed
- All before and after-school activities and Oshkosh Recreation Department programs are also canceled.
- School District of West De Pere
