APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Monthlies Project‘s annual fundraiser is coming up on March 26, with the focus on ending period poverty by collecting money and menstrual products for distribution at schools and organizations.
An Event, Period, is set to kick off on Thursday, March 26, at 5 p.m. at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center with plenty of action, from live entertainment to activities.
Appleton’s Community Blood Center at ‘critical need’ for blood donors
The event asks registrants to wear any shade of red to showcase their support. Officials with The Monthlies Project say that the need for period product donations is critical, as about 25% of students in the United States struggle to afford period products.
