LITTLE RIVER, Wis. (WFRV) – The search is on in Oconto County after a suspect driver fled the scene of a crash that left a 20-year-old pedestrian dead late Monday night.
According to a release from the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 11:46 p.m. to I-41 at County Highway A in the Town of Little River for reports of a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Officials say an initial investigation showed the suspect vehicle was heading north on I-41 when it hit the 20-year-old pedestrian from Oconto and left the scene, continuing north on I-41.
Deputies found the 20-year-old’s body lifeless in the center of the northbound lanes of I-41. The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run.
