OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – A 27-year-old man from Oshkosh was arrested for OWI early Wednesday morning after crashing into a utility pole near Division Street, severely injuring a passenger.
Officers with the Oshkosh Police Department stated in a release that the crash happened around 3:35 a.m. on March 25 when a northbound vehicle on Division Street near Church Avenue lost control and hit a utility pole.
The release notes that four people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. A 29-year-old man from Oshkosh was taken to a local hospital for severe injuries, and the driver, a 27-year-old man also from Oshkosh, was taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated Causing Great Bodily Harm.

The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted with crash reconstruction at the scene. Division Street between Church Avenue and West Parkway Avenue remains closed.
