The Latest from Storm Team 5…
After a loud start to ouyr day, the weather looks quiet tonight with clouds returning and lows falling into the 20s to around 30 degrees.
Tomorrow will feature more clouds than sunshine and temperatures will be cooler than normal temperatures, only managing the mid and upper 30s to around 40 degrees. You can thank a breezy northeast wind gusting to 25 mph at times for that.
The focus of our forecast is our 2nd system arriving Wednesday night lasting through end of day Thursday. Here is the latest:
Snow or a mix of freezing rain and sleet moves in Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Roads could become slippery and dangerous so leaving extra time Thursday morning will be important. The freezing rain could weigh down branches and result in a few power outages.
As a gusty east to southeast wind ramps up, this will push the frozen precipitation side of things northward, changing the precipitation type to rain in for the afternoon. On top of that, a warm front lifting north will spark a chance for thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. A few of which could be strong to possibly severe with a hail, damaging wind and downpour threat.

Ice amounts will be the most concerning past of the first half of this event. Most have the chance for up to 1/4″ of ice, with isolated locations in central Wisconsin pushing 1/2″ of ice.

Snowfall amounts will be confined to far northern WI where a few inches of snow is possible. Little to no accumulations for Green Bay and the Valley.

A WINTER STORM WATCH begins at 12am Thursday through 1pm Thursday for all the counties shaded in blue. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY looks likely for all our other counties.

Total rain, snow, sleet and freezing rain amounts will be on the order of 1-1.5″ of moisture. Minor flooding is possible.
Another rain event is in the forecast Friday night into Saturday morning, which could add another 0.5-1″ of rainfall. Thankfully, Easter looks dry and seasonally cool.
