REEDSBURG, Wis. (WFRV) – One man in Wisconsin is now in custody after a loaded gun and a knife were found during a disturbance Saturday night, authorities say.
According to the Reedsburg Police Department, nearby officers responded at 9:48 p.m. after they overheard a verbal disturbance in the distance near the intersection of South James Avenue and Clark Street.
Man arrested for arson and attempted homicide in Greenville
Once on the scene, police found a small group arguing with two men physically fighting each other, both accusing the other of having a gun.
Officers were able to de-escalate the incident and found one of the men to be in possession of a loaded handgun and a knife. Police then arrested 20-year-old Aiden M. Bebber from Baraboo on the following charges:
- Intentionally Pointing a Firearm at a Person
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Disorderly Conduct
- Obstructing an Officer
- Possession of THC
Bebber was taken and booked into the Sauk County Jail. No other information is available at this time, and an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
