The latest from Storm Team 5…
Friday night will be the calm before our next storm system. We are anticipating another icing but fortunately we will see it more confined to the counties Northwest of the valley and not as widespread as Thursday. This will carry late Friday night into Saturday morning. An Ice Storm Warning will be issued from 7pm to 10am for the northwestern counties of our viewing region.
Some areas in the valley can see rain as well as a chance for some non-severe thunderstorms. In these areas we can expect icing on elevated surfaces such as trees and powerlines. These conditions can always increase the risk of power outages. We have also seen our fair share of rain recently, so receiving more also can increase concerns for flooding.

Saturday morning has more rain showers and ice concerns in the Northwoods. The afternoon will be drier with cloudy skies and breezy winds, daytime highs reach the mid 40s. Overnight we may see a few isolated light snow flurries.
Easter Sunday starts off cloudy but gives a chance for more sunshine in the afternoon. A chilly breeze holds throughout the day with highs only reaching the mid to upper 40s. With all the rain leading up to Easter, expect some muddy conditions for any egg hunts.
The rest of the work week sees some very spring like patterns with a small wintry mix chance Monday and mostly sunny conditions Tuesday, these days will reach the lower 40s. Wednesday and Thursday will see a return of rain with highs in the 50s.
