WAUTOMA, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wautoma Police Department has announced that the Silver Alert for the missing elderly woman with dementia is canceled.
According to a release, 78-year-old Bonita Rosenthal left a residence without her caretaker’s knowledge sometime overnight Thursday into Friday morning.
Police say Rosenthal has since been found safe. No other information is available at this time.

WAUTOMA, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in Wautoma have issued a Silver Alert as a 78-year-old woman with dementia has gone missing sometime overnight.
According to a release from the Wautoma Police Department, the caretaker of 78-year-old Bonita Rosenthal woke up Friday morning and says Bonita left the residence sometime overnight.

Rosenthal is not familiar with the area and was staying in Wautoma due to a power outage in the Almond area.

She is said to have last been seen in the 100 block of Elm Street around 11:00 p.m. Thursday night. At the time of her last known appearance, Rosenthal was last seen wearing a white pajama shirt with pink waves, Nordic-type snowflakes across the chest, pink plus marks dotting it, striped pajama pants, and moccasins. She was/is also carrying a tan rabbit nick named “Pooh.”
Police say she has no phone or vehicles and could be attempting to head back to Almond. She is thought to be drawn to wooded areas. Officers add that she is approachable and may refer to herself by her maiden name, Reabe.
