CLINTONVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – Heavy rain from Monday night’s severe weather has led to flooding in several areas throughout northeast Wisconsin, especially in Clintonville.
According to a release, officials with the Clintonville Public School District say both private and public schools will be closed on Tuesday as conversations with emergency management and local law enforcement have led to the decision to use the schools as emergency evacuation facilities.

School administration says that staff are to still report to work as normal and to use the day as a work day. There is to be no parking on the south side of the high school, as that is said to be the staging area for emergency personnel and anyone from the public who may need to evacuate to the district’s buildings.
Many Roads in the area are said to be washed out or impassible, and additional rain is expected, which will likely cause flood waters to continue to rise.
As of now, officials with the school say the Rec Center is open, and the Childcare Center is open. This is an ongoing and ever-changing situation. The school is expected to provide updates and relay any needed public safety messages.
