(WFRV) – Just one month ago, over two feet of snow fell across northeast Wisconsin, marking the snowiest day since the 1880s. Fast forward a few weeks, and round after round of rain has placed April of 2026 alone at the top of the history books for the month.
Two day rainfall totals across northeast Wisconsin during April’s heavy rain
As of Tuesday morning, April 15, Green Bay has recorded 7.88″ of rainfall for the month, shattering the previous record of 6.47″ set back in 1947. Based on the latest forecast from Storm Team 5, we are not done yet.

That bears the question: what was the wettest month all time in Green Bay? That would be June of 1990, when 10.69″ of rain fell in Green Bay for the month.

With almost 8″ of rain in the first two weeks of the month, that record is unfortunately in jeopardy. The rain has caused widespread flooding in northeast Wisconsin, resulting in disruptions to daily life and rivers reaching record crests.
