TAYCHEEDAH, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Fond du Lac County say one man was found unconscious in a ravine Tuesday night after crashing on his motorcycle.
According to a release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 6:54 p.m. to the W4400 block of Golf Course Drive in the Township of Taycheedah for reports of a motorcycle crash.
Upon arrival, an 18-year-old Fond du Lac man was found unconscious and breathing about 30 yards down in a ravine. Due to the seriousness of the man’s injuries, Flight for Life was called to the scene, and the man was flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah.

Officials say evidence at the scene showed the motorcycle had been heading east on Golf Course Drive when the driver failed to maintain control and entered into the south ditch before striking the culvert and a few trees, overturning, and eventually coming to a rest at the bottom of the ravine.
Golf Course Drive was closed between Highway 151 and Red Fox Run for about 45minutes as crews worked to take care of the crashed motorcyclist and investigate the scene. While the driver was wearing a helmet, speed was determined to be a believable factor in the crash.
No other information is available, and an investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office remains ongoing.
