Dozens of community members gathered for a cleanup event organized by the Fox Wolf Watershed Alliance. This initiative works to remove litter and garbage from parks and surrounding areas throughout the Fox Wolf Watershed.
The effort is part of the Alliance’s ongoing mission to improve the overall water quality and protect the region’s natural environment. Organizers say that trash left behind can end up in nearby waterways, which can impact both wildlife and drinking water quality.

Volunteers of all ages participated in the event, including local kids who proudly showed off bags of trash they had collected. Of course, it turned into a friendly competition over whose bag weighed the most. It was also a chance to learn about environmental responsibility and how even the smaller actions can create big change.
Organizers say community involvement is key to keeping the watershed healthy. The alliance relies on events like this one to continue to grow year after year.
