MERRILL, Wis. (WFRV) – Crews in northern Wisconsin worked to quickly put out a fire that began in a fire pit but had spread to a nearby building on Tuesday.
According to the Merrill Fire Department, crews responded to the 400 block of Superior Street on the morning of May 20 for reports of a structure fire.

When crews arrived, they found out the flames from a fire pit had spread to ‘adjacent structures.’ The fire, which was deemed accidental, was quickly put out, further limiting its damage.
