DOVER, Wis. (WFRV) – A man was hospitalized after he was shot in southeastern Wisconsin last Sunday by an errant bullet while he was a passenger in a truck that was driving in Racine County.
Around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, authorities with the Racine County Sheriff’s Office and Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department were called to the 2500 block of CTH N and Sunnyside Drive in the Town of Dover for reports of a person who had been shot.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they found a roughly 25-year-old man who was in the front passenger seat of a pickup truck with a bullet wound.
Authorities say the truck, which was towing a fishing boat, was heading north on Sunnyside Drive when a stray bullet penetrated the passenger’s side front door and hit the victim.

The man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and the Racine County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
