GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Following the success and dazzling debut last year, officials with the On Stage 4 Cancer nonprofit organization are bringing an event back to Green Bay with a brand new concert and beneficiary.
The ‘On Stage 4 Cancer: Serenades 4 Supper’ event will be at the Riverside Ballroom on Thursday, July 31 and will feature a variety of musical acts, a live art display, raffles, a wine pull, and more, all while serving OS4C’s mission of “Empowering Cancer Thrivers, One Note at a Time.”

Officials with OS4C say the nonprofit organization exists to financially support those in the local community with cancer, especially those who are “gig” dependent, like musicians and artists.
Many of these types of community members receive money from ‘gigs” rather than by traditional means, with this year’s event beneficiary being Dennis Peters (Dennis Lee Roth), the lead singer of the multi-WAMI-winning popular local band, The Glam Band.
Peters was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of Stage 4 prostate cancer. Event organizers say that, with his sole form of income coming from performing, medical costs have begun to eat away at his savings.
Our organization exists solely to support individuals like Dennis, who are not just surviving but THRIVING with cancer. We understand the burden medical costs can present, especially for musicians and other artists, and we’re here to support them financially when they need it most.

Shefchik says last year’s debut event surpassed the organization’s goal of $50,000 raised for cancer thrive Audrey Nowak, a local musician and educator who has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.
